Kum-Ba-Ya is available for day events and overnight stays

Camp Kum-Ba-Ya is beautiful place for your next group gathering, retreat, wedding, family reunion, or special event! Want to have use of the facilities for you and your family to have quality time? Come fish off of the dock, swim, play our indoor and outdoor games, hike the woodland trails, enjoy a picnic, and watch the sunset over the water. When night falls, relax by the campfire at the beach and share s’mores.

Our camp is set in 45 wooded acres on beautiful Kentucky Lake in Marshall County, about 12 miles northeast of Benton. Our camp accommodates up to 120 persons for lodging, and our dining hall can seat 75 for meals and gatherings.

The Billy Williams Lodge

Our lodge offers a commercial kitchen, a large dining or meeting room to accomodate 75 persons and two break-out meeting rooms for events in any season. The Billy Williams Lodge contains a dining hall, two small group meeting spaces, and a large kitchen with a commercial stove, two ovens, and commercial refrigerators and freezers. Other catering equipment, like an ice machine, salad bar, dishes, and a popcorn machine, are also available. The dining hall can be set up with a buffet line and 10 tables that fit 7 people comfortably. With two showers in each restroom, the breakout rooms can serve as dorm rooms for 12 overnight guests. Our WIFI, projector and television make this a nice space for training events, video conferencing, or business off-site.

Stay in Our New All-Season Cabins

Camp Kum-Ba-Ya has ten insulated all-season cabin rooms with finished interiors and heating and air conditioning. Each room can accommodate 12. We are excited to have plans for two future retreat cabins that will offer living spaces and ensuite restrooms. Please contact us to inquire about overnight accommodations available for your stay.

Rustic Cabins

Our historic, rustic cabins invite you to go to sleep to the woodland sounds of whip-poor-wills and owls. Each A-frame sleeps six.

Two-person Cabins

Our three rustic, two-person cabins near the lodge allow for a short walk to the heart of the campground. Window air-conditioning units keep these cabins cool during the warm summer months.

The Pavillion

The pavilion is a large group gathering and outdoor picnic area with lighting, ceiling fans and a focal-point brick fireplace.

The Dock

Our dock on Kentucky Lake provides a memorable place to see the sunset, catch fish, tie up your boat, or canoe and kayak.

Grounds and Nature Trails

Bring your walking shoes for a hike around our nature trails. You may see deer, eagles, and a variety of flora and fauna as you encounter our woodland worship areas and study shelters. The property includes 45 wooded acres, a natural sand beach with a campfire circle and dock on Kentucky Lake.

Lots of Spaces for Fun

Our camp offers canoes, kayaks, lifejackets, volleyball, basketball, tether ball, four square, soccer, gaga ball, fishing poles (bring your own bait), picnic shelters, woodland worship areas, a lakeside fire circle, board games, and even a popcorn machine for movie nights in the lodge.

Directions

Camp Kum-Ba-Ya’s physical address is 4943 Barge Island Rd., Benton, Kentucky. Located in the area of Fairdealing on Kentucky Lake in Marshall County, the camp is about 12 miles northeast of Benton, KY. At Fairdealing on US Hwy 68, you will take KY 962 north 5.2 miles.
